# 12.3.10 — smoother theme and tab switching

- **Theme switch:** uses the browser's View Transitions API to cross-fade the whole page as one image (0.38s), so surfaces, text and borders no longer change colour at different moments. Browsers without it get a uniform 0.32s colour fade on every element. Honors "reduce motion".
- **Page switches (sidebar):** each page fades in (0.22s) instead of snapping.
- **Tab bars** (Transfers, Procurement, Repairs, Stocking, Support, item detail sections, POS tabs) and **POS category chips:** the content fades/slides in (0.24s). If the content is replaced after loading, the fade restarts so it doesn't pop in. Tab logic is unchanged.
- Tabs, chips, payment buttons and nav items ease their colour changes (0.2s).
- Cache bumped (style.css?v=1240, common.js?v=1234, app.js?v=1235, service worker v43).

## Follow-up: no double flash
- The tab fade used to play on click and again when the loaded data replaced the content. It now waits for the content to settle and plays exactly once per click.
- Softer start (fades from 45% instead of 0%) so nothing blinks; page switches fade from 55%.
- Cache bumped (style.css?v=1241, common.js?v=1235, service worker v44).
